Holy Motors

I am at a loss.  Leo Carax’ Holy Motors left me in a state of utter bewilderment.
Frenchman Denis Lavant, who is a charmless troll, serves as the main character in a world of video game sex, old lady beggars, hermits, concerned fathers and countless other disconnected scenarios.
The only consistency in the plot is Lavant riding around in a limo and attending to “appointments” in which he takes on a new identity for each and seems to live multiple lives.
Cinematography is the singular redeeming element of this film other than featuring Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” in the soundtrack.
